The Waves
Inside this issue
November was a month of festivities and celebrations. ICNZ saw Diwali celebrations in full swing. “Ramayana—The Play”, regional dances and games added spark to the celebrations and made it a day for everyone to cherish and enjoy. Our students created a festive environment by setting the right ambience with traditional Indian accessories and started the function with lighting a lamp at the hands of our Chief Guest, Ella Kumar, who was welcomed with a garland presented in a traditional Fijji way which was amazing reflection of blending cultures. A brief by our students regarding what is Diwali and why is it celebrated, created the mood and added the essence of culture.
Business students scripted and directed “Ramayana”, with a modern twist and had gala time acting in it too. The play was guided well by our senior tutor Nalin Gupta who extended his extensive support to the project till the very end. Students showed their drama skills, video and audio skills and at the same time enjoyed the entire experience. Audience were enthralled by the show and complimented our students for the brilliance of their performance and energy.
The function was chaired by Ella Kumar who is a well known community representative with a successful career as a Physical Health and Well-being educator / Fitness Instructor / Trainer. Her brief speech was inspiring for our students as she appreciated the efforts put in by them and commended their team spirit in presence of multi-ethnicities and diversity. The function continued with vote of thanks by Dr. Harveen and concluded with an elaborate and inspiring speech by our Director Chirag Solanki. The celebrations ended with scrumptious Indian meal much appreciated by one and all.
To celebrate the milestones achieved by ICNZ since its inception, our Director Chirag Solanki hosted a dinner for the entire staff and the LAC members and other key stakeholders associated with ICNZ. This function was coined to celebrate the success of ICNZ and to celebrate the people closely associated with ICNZ who have contributed to its success story. During the function Chirag spoke fondly about his venture, many milestones achieved, challenges faced, learning gained and people developed. Staying true to its purpose, the event celebrated and appreciated such partners in success. Our Business and Homeopathy tutors were awarded and thoroughly appreciated for their efforts towards the achievement of milestones. The people present at the function also wished good luck to Ridhi Saini as she moved on to another role and offered prayers for her success.
Our business students from Level 5 & 6 were thrilled to know that as a strategic management decision, ICNZ decided to reduce the fees. The news was welcomed with excitement and appreciation by our students. They look forward to finishing their existing level and are waiting to move on with their next level of business studies with ICNZ. Our Level 6 students were especially joyful to have received the difference of fees paid by them last year. This genuine gesture came as a pleasant surprise for them and they welcomed it with a smile!
And that’s exactly how we feel! We at ICNZ need a reason to celebrate and be happy! Besides, we all love eating cakes, so what better way than to celebrate birthdays of our students. In November we celebrated birthday of Pragnesh Lkhataria, Kiranjit Singh and Anal Prakash Chand. All three were excited and happy to cut their cakes in front of the class and the staff of ICNZ. When asked to reflect thoughts on this special occasion, Pragnesh was prompt to express gratitude and extended thanks to both his fellow students and to the staff of ICNZ.
Your birthday's a time for careful reflectionworking at Sky Entertainment Call Centre
Poonam Chandra is our Alumnus for this month. She has successfully completed Level 5 and is aiming to study her Level 6 from ICNZ in the coming year. She had some wonderful and pleasant words for her college and the skills it helped her acquire. She candidly expressed her feelings, “Studying at ICNZ has helped me a lot in life. ICNZ has taught me a lot. Choosing to do a National Diploma in Level 5 proved to be a good choice for me and particularly studying in an awesome institute like ICNZ with tutors like Nalin, Nuzhat & Vera was an awesome experience. Currently I am working at Sky Entertainment Call Centre and I have gained a lot of confidence in dealing with customer’s problems, resolving them and booking events for them. All this confidence and knowledge has come from my education that I gained from ICNZ. Thanks you so much ICNZ management for building me and my skills. I owe a lot to ICNZ and my learning from them”.
Poonam’s contribution is yet another testimonial by our student to prove that ICNZ indeed is a home away from home!! We are glad to have such fabulous students as a part of our institution who make us proud and help us to do better in the space of education.
