Physical fitness can take a back seat with busy study/work schedules. Terry from Jetts Fitness was here to talk about the importance of keeping fit and offered discounted rates on gym membership to students. To demonstrate the equipment available, students were given the chance to compete on the rowing machine.

Orbit Insurance:

Change of weather can sometimes present challenges for international students especially in the absence of care and support from family. In addition, medical expenses can be an additional burden. Orbit Insurance presented to students on the various aspects covered by insurance, documents and processes necessary to make claims and shared other areas of importance to students.


Bank of India:

Bank of India has recently opened their branch in Manukau and came to present about their services including International Funds Transfers. Please see link for further information about services provided in New Zealand.

Auckland Community Law Center:

Maddox presented on the various services offered by Auckland Community Law Centre and spent quite a bit of time after the presentation answering to individual student queries. We thank Maddox for his time and contribution to ICNZ.


Activity in the Classroom

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy !” We definitely have brighter Jacks at ICNZ. A few examples of activities conducted in the class shown here by the Monday-Tuesday Level 7 batch. The ‘Straw Tower Activity’ seen was played to understand the importance of information, system and people in an organization to support business strategy. The students also analyzed and presented on various case studies relating to how to plan, design and implement an effective information system in a business organization.


Birthday Celebrations:

A “Home Away From Home” is the culture that we practice at ICNZ. As most of our students are away from their families, birthday celebrations are organized and celebrated with their ICNZ family.

Tutor Achievements

“All roads that lead to success have to go through Hard work Boulevard at some point”. A perfect example is the Academic Excellence in Postgraduate Studies awarded to one of our tutors, Sangeetha. This award is given only to those students who have consistently achieved an A and A+ grades. We congratulate you on your significant achievement in your career.


Charity Run for Fiji

This year Fiji has gone through not one but two Category 5 cyclones, Cyclone Winston and Cyclone Zena, destroying homes and businesses. To raise money for the people in Fiji, our Director, Chirag Solanki participated in Community Fundraiser Walk for Fiji, organized by Ella Kumar. Chirag ran for a total of 25 laps, amounting to 10km. The total amount raised by the event was $3800.


Shave for a Cure:

The fight against cancer goes on. One of the major side effects of chemotherapy is hair loss and especially for a woman, the effects can be quite devastating. Stephanie one of our tutors participated in an initiative Shave for a Cure by the Leukaemia and Blood Cancer NZ. In solidarity to two of her close family friends, she shaved her head on 1st May and donated her hair to Freedom Wigs, a company that makes wigs from hair donations. The total amount raised so far is $2061 and the donation continues. Any donations, small or big, are welcome. To donate, visit the link:

Coffee with Chirag


In line with ICNZ ‘s open door policy, Chirag Solanki – Director of ICNZ is happy to have a chat over a coffee. You can call at the office to organize a suitable date and time.

Free Events in May and June

This is a free event organized in the month of May and April. A fun afternoon in your local park and has a wide assortment of inflatables, sports games, giant games and much more. See link for more information


Learn Kung-Fu :

An exciting opportunity to learn martial arts, with Chan’s Martial Arts in Ponsonby. The first week is free and several start dates in May and June. Please see link for more information
